Let's Sing: Felineous' Music Reviews

Blue Moo

Doowop, shaboop! Oh, hi there! I was just singing along to my favorite new album, Blue Moo, (Workman 2007), created by Sandra Boynton. You probably know Sandra from her picture books, but did you also know she loves the music of the 1950s and 60s? Blue Moo is full of upbeat, funny tunes in the style of doowop and rock 'n roll songs from this era. My favorite is "Singing in the Shower." ("Hey, the shiny silver sprayer makes a perfect microphone!") Your mom and dad and grandparents will love this album too; they'll recognize the voices of Brian Wilson and B.B. King, who sings about losing his shoe in "One Shoes Blues." Next time your mom is telling you it's time to go, and your shoe is nowhere to be found, why not sing this song to her? This is a great album to listen to first thing in the morning, when you want to start the day off rocking and rolling, and with a big blue mooooooooo!

Parents: You can find this album on Amazon.com
