Bridget's Beret

Tom Lichtenheld
Christy Ottaviano Books 2010

Bridget is a wonderful artist. She covers the fridge with portraits, and fills the sidewalk with chalk flowers. She would rather paint than eat ice cream! Bridget’s main source of inspiration is her big black beret, the kind that all Great Artists wear.

One day, a mischievous gust of wind lifts her beret right off her head! Bridget is terribly sad. How will she ever draw again? She cries, and sulks, and pouts, and yells, until someone comes along with a very important request for a new painting. But will Bridget be able to draw without her beret?
