A dog, a cow, a donkey, and a rooster are all very sad. Their mean owners have kicked them out, because they're getting too old! The four animals wander into the forest to start a new life for themselves...and manage prove to the village that they're not useless, while discovering a love of singing and dancing along the way!

I loved reading this traditional folk tale, especially because the illustrations are so beautiful and quirky. They were drawn by an Indian tribal artist, and they made me want to get out my art supplies. After reading this story, you might want to try imitating this art style yourself!
