Pop-Pop-Popcorn!
Are you as hot as the polar bear in the July/August 2011
issue of Ladybug? Cool off inside while you shake up a
batch of pop-pop-popcorn trail mix.
You can take this treat on your next outdoor adventure!
What You’ll Need:
About 4 cups of popped popcorn
About 1 cup of your favorite dry bite-sized snacks (Ladybug
likes to stir cereal, nuts, and raisins together when she makes trail mix. Muddle is wild for shredded coconut and
dried fruit. Thud always adds
animal crackers, pumpkin seeds, and chocolate chips.)
What to Do:
Ask an adult to pop the popcorn for you, using microwave
popcorn or a favorite recipe.
Here’s a tip for adults using an air popper or stove: 3 tablespoons of
kernels will make about 4 cups of popped popcorn.
When the popcorn is cool, put it in a paper bag with your
favorite snacks. Shake it up, and
you and your pop-pop-popcorn are ready to hit the road!
