Print out and create this jumping jack owl for a hoot.

What You'll Need:

• Thin stock cardboard (back of a cereal box works)
• Scissors
• Glue
• Tape
• 2 metal fasteners
• Pencil or popsicle stick
• String

What to Do:

1. Print out owl.
2. Glue page to thin stock cardboard. Color your owl if you'd like.
3. Cut out all pieces.
4. Ask parent to poke holes in circles marked with X.
5. Ask parent to poke hole in two solid circles on wings.
6. Place and secure metal fastener over wings, attaching behind body, through circles marked X.
7. Thread medium piece of string through circles on wings. The two ends should hang down. Tie these together to make a triangle.
8. Tie a longer piece of thread to the point of triangle.

   

9. Tape the back of owl body to popsicle stick or pencil.
10. Pull on the string to make your owl fly. Hootie-hoo!
